The Georgian Charter of Journalistic Ethics calls on all media outlets to carefully cover the issues related to the Coronavirus vaccine.
“It is especially important for the Media to disseminate comprehensive and accurate information when covering vaccination as a universal healthcare issue.”
Here are the recommendations offered by the charter:
- When covering the quality of the vaccine and the vaccine itself, make every effort to disseminate accurate, truthful and verified information. Improper coverage of health issues may harm not only individuals but also endanger the safety of universal health care.
- Use reliable and relevant sources
- Select qualified experienced respondents who will speak based on facts and research.
