The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, says suspicions exist not only in Europe, but also in other countries of the world regarding the parliamentary elections held in Georgia.
Speaking on November 8, during the European Political Union Summit in Budapest, Michel said the issue of Georgian parliamentary elections will be evaluated in the European Council and the leaders will send a clear message.
“Regarding the elections held [in Georgia], there are serious suspicions of fraud, which require a serious investigation. We need clarity about this process to make sure that everything was done fairly and transparently,” he said.
