Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia (CCRG) with the financial support of Slovak Government handed over a 14-cubic-meter garbage truck of modern standard worth 100,000 Euros, and fourteen 1110-liter metal garbage bins to the municipality of Dusheti.
In addition to Dusheti Municipality, within the ENPARD project implemented by Caritas Czech Republic in Khulo, 4WD seven-cubic meter waste collection truck has handed over to Khulo Municipality. Again, with the financial support of Slovak Government, one hundred and thirty-five 240-liter waste containers for separated waste and sixty 1110-liter metal waste containers as part of a project “Supporting Green Actions in Oni Municipality through the development of Waste Management Infrastructure”, supported by the Slovak government were handed over to Oni Municipality.
The Oni Municipality will soon also be served by a 4WD seven-cubic meter waste collection truck for the transportation of separated waste In addition, based on Slovakia’s experience, a solid waste separation and recycling model was developed for Oni Municipality together with an action plan. The attention was also given on actions focused on introducing biodegradable waste management practices. Several campaigns have been conducted to raise public awareness on separate waste collection.
