The Committee launches the EU 2-year Twinning Project “Strengthening Parliamentary Oversight in Public Finances,” which was the topic of the meeting of the Chair of the Committee, Irakli Kovzanadze with the Regional Coordinator of the Project.
The parties discussed the action plan and the activities outlined in the project. As Kovzanadze notes, it is the first EU Twinning project in Georgia and the Committee appreciates the EU experience in Parliamentary oversight.
The project coordinator noted that the Project, save the Parliamentary oversight, also covers the improvement of the communication in the budgetary process with the main actors and civil society.
