Riot police are out on Batumi’s streets for the first time since 2007 tonight. Their mission? To be ready to put a stop to the students and civilians protesting the decisions of the regime currently ruling Georgia.
Like Tbilisi, Batumi’s streets are full of demonstrators who claim no fear of the “robocops,” desiring only to secure a European future for their country.
Tomorrow, Batumi’s Shota Rustaveli and Grigol Robakhidze university students will be on strike, as will many other educational institutions throughout the country.
