National Statistics Office of Georgia reported that average nominal monthly earnings in Georgia rose significantly in the fourth quarter of 2025, reaching GEL 2,466. This marks an 11.2% year-on-year increase, equivalent to GEL 248.7, reflecting continued wage growth across the economy.
The strongest earnings were recorded in high-value industries, with the following sectors leading:
- Information and communication – GEL 4,373.2 (+9.1%)
- Construction – GEL 3,938.9 (+17.2%)
- Financial and insurance activities – GEL 3,747.7 (+11.1%)
- Mining and quarrying – GEL 3,386.5 (+31.8%)
These sectors continue to drive overall wage growth, supported by investment and rising demand.
Despite overall increases, a notable gender disparity remains.
- Women’s average salary: GEL 1,952.5 (+9.8% YoY)
- Men’s average salary: GEL 2,978.9 (+12.2% YoY)
In absolute terms, men earned significantly more across almost all sectors, showing a persistent gender gap in the labor market.
Wage growth was observed across both business and non-business sectors:
- Business sector:
- Average salary: GEL 2,608.4
- Increase: GEL 241.3 (+10.2%)
- Highest earnings in information and communication (GEL 4,433.4) and construction (GEL 3,943.4)
- Non-business and financial sector:
- Average salary: GEL 2,210.2
- Increase: GEL 254.8 (+13.0%)
- Financial and insurance activities remained the top-paying field
Regionally, Tbilisi and the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region recorded the highest average monthly earnings.
