At the seventh attempt, the ‘Rike Jugs’ have been sold at auction for 10 million, 20 thousand GEL.
Based on the investment conditions, the acquirer is obliged to arrange a wine and digital art / technology museum, as well as exhibition / conference spaces and halls in the area within 36 months.
For this, the investor must invest at least 20 million GEL.
The ‘Rike Jugs,’ as they are called by locals, is actually a concert hall located near the Bridge of Peace in Tbilisi. The opinion of local residents about this attraction is ambiguous.
The original structure, made in the form of two jugs, is located in the territory of Rike Park. The theater building, designed by Massimiliso Fuchsas, is made of metal and glass.
The Georgian government previously made several attempts to sell it at auction at a higher price.
