The Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, announced at the meeting of the municipal government that the works of arranging a park in the 3rd micro-district in Didi Digomi have been completed.
The Mayor noted that over the years, the residents of Didi Dighomi have been consistently asking for the construction of a park between the second and third micro-districts, yet, the territory remained abandoned.
“Years ago, there was a harmful practice when, at the expense of recreational spaces and sports fields, buildings were built. It was a bad practice and nobody liked it. I have said many times and I will repeat it again that we are not against construction, development, reconstruction, and progress, but it must be done right. The capital is in great need of recreational spaces so that our children can breathe fresh air,” he said.
The park was built on an area of 14,700 square meters. Within the framework of the project, a fountain, amphitheater, children’s zone, exercise, and dog walking spaces were also organized in the territory.
