With the initiative of the Embassy of Israel, to celebrate World Earth Day, 15 trees of different species, 3 meters high, were planted in Arto Garden, Tbilisi.
Tbilisi Deputy Mayor Andria Basilaia and Israeli Ambassador to Georgia Ran Gidor took part in the planting.
“I am glad to join the initiative of the Israeli Ambassador. Arto Garden was named after Gia Kancheli and the municipality plans to rehabilitate this park in the near future. New greenery is a very high priority for us, and we are also rehabilitating other recreational spaces. Such initiatives are welcomed by private individuals to encourage and promote greenery,” said Basilaia.
