According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs of Georgia, an event dedicated to the International Sports Day was held in the village of Atotsi. International Sports Day has been celebrated in Georgia and around the world since 2014.
Soso Giorgadze, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs, and Georgian sportsmen took part in the event together with the students of the village school located near the occupation line.
Merab Sharikadze, captain of the Georgian rugby team, Beka Burjanadze, a member of the basketball team, and Davit Ubilava, a player of the Tbilisi Locomotive, talked to the students about the importance and role of sports and called on the students to get involved in sports.
