As part of the state program ‘Film in Georgia’, a business tour was held for American and British film producers, organized by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development’s agency ‘Enterprise Georgia’.
During the visit, the producers toured potential filming locations, learned about Georgia’s film and television production process and held meetings with representatives of the local film sector.
The agency said that Georgia has supported 65 film projects since launching the program in 2016, with investments exceeding GEL 200 million. International promotion of Film in Georgia is actively carried out at major industry events, including the Cannes and Berlin film festivals, the Annecy International Animation Festival and the American Film Market.
Among the visiting producers was the Vice President of HBO East Coast Production, raising hopes that Hollywood projects may soon be filmed in Georgia.
