The Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria, Vesselin Petrov Valkanov.
The parties emphasized the centuries-old relations and multilateral cooperation between Georgia and Bulgaria.
Papuashvili informed the Ambassador about his priorities as the Speaker of the Parliament and emphasized that Georgia will spare no effort for the efficient and timely implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission.
The Speaker expressed his gratitude to Bulgaria for its support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, the European future, and the development of the country in various fields.
As the Ambassador noted, the Republic of Bulgaria will continue to support Georgia’s European integration. Valkanov wished the Parliament of Georgia well in the implementation of 12 recommendations.
