Civil activists have suggested that those who can work remotely and are unable to go on a strike instead dress up warmly and work on Rustaveli Avenue, which has been the epicenter of pro-European demonstrations for the past 10 days.
“If you work remotely and can’t go on a strike! Let’s go to Rustaveli with our inventory and work from there for a free, strong, European Georgia! Let’s dress warmly for the country!”, they announced on social media.
Citizens have been protesting the halt of the EU accession negotiations by the Georgian Dream government for 10 days on the central Rustaveli Avenue in front of the Parliament. Representatives of various professions are leaving their jobs in protest and/or going on a strike. This latest call applies to those who were unable to strike for various reasons and yet are able to work remotely.
