A protected area worth 767,590 GEL to be created on 15 hectares in Guria

A bill has been initiated in the Parliament of Georgia, according to which a protected area is to be created in Guria.

15,310 hectares in the Chokhatauri and Ozurgeti municipalities will be given the status of national park, and a new protected area – the Guria National Park – will be created.

The bill also recognizes that an administration will need to be established for the Guria National Park, at which no more than 20 people will work.
