Poland’s Border Guard Service reported that the country has deported 40 individuals, 27 from Georgia and 13 from Moldova, for concerns over national security and public order.
The deportation, carried out on July 15 in cooperation with the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex), involved forced removals by chartered flight.
Polish authorities stated that the decision to expel 20 Georgians and 9 Moldovans was based on the protection of public safety and the national interest. The remaining deportees had violated Polish immigration laws.
Among the deported individuals is a Georgian national previously convicted 12 times for theft. Others face charges including driving under the influence, using false documents to enter Poland, as well as aiding illegal migration from Belarus into the EU.
