On April 9 street, law enforcement officers have been detaining rally participants by using excessive force.
There is still tension on the ground. Demonstrators continue to throw objects in the direction of law enforcement officers.
Protesters are chanting “Russians, slaves!”.
Water jets are periodically used in the area.
Several people were injured during the attempted break-up of the rally on Rustaveli Avenue. They were given medical care in ambulances.
TV Pirveli journalist Mariam Gaprindashvili is among the injured, first aided by emergency workers on the spot and then taken to a clinic.
At this stage, it is unknown how many people have been injured in total.
