Kakha Kaladze, Mayor of Tbilisi and the General Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party, held a briefing where he asserted that GD has already secured a “solid majority” in the Georgian Parliament, based on information from local party headquarters.
However, he emphasized the need for a constitutional majority and encouraged citizens to vote.
Kaladze praised the high voter turnout, claiming it favors the ruling party, and criticized opposition-leaning media for what he described as a “coordinated attempt” to disrupt the electoral process and create a false narrative about the elections.
