Following the declaration from the Communications Commission that Magticom won multiple lots in the second auction, the company has obtained a license for 5G implementation.
Magticom has received the rights to use the 700, 800, and 3410-3710 MHz frequency bands for the next 15 years, costing GEL 77,125,735, with Magticom paying only 30% of the price at the outset, with the goal to settle the remaining 70% over the next year.
In the scope of the auction, the company is to gradually move to provide 5G coverage in the most populated areas of the country, as well as to tourist spots.
5G implementation will improve mobile internet speed and promote innovation in target sectors, enhancing Georgian economy.
