With the Georgian universal healthcare program, citizens of the below-stated category or status will receive medicines for free throughout the year, the Ministry of Health states.
The program includes financing of medicines for the treatment of the following chronic diseases:
Chronic cardiovascular diseases
Chronic lung diseases
Chronic diseases of the thyroid gland
Diabetes type 2
Parkinson’s
Epilepsy
Glaucoma
Also the program includes financing of medicines for:
Socially vulnerable persons (whose rating score does not exceed 100,000 units), pensioners, veterans, persons with disabilities, and those living in villages near the occupation line.
