2012 was a turning point in the recent history of our country. Before 2012, the country was a “beacon of democracy”, you would hear such statements, now there are some problems in this direction, although in reality the situation is completely different in the country, – Georgian Dream Secretary General Kakha Kaladze responded to the statement made by American Senator, Jeanne Shaheen, at the session of the Foreign Relations Committee of the US Senate regarding the fact that “the Government of Georgia is increasingly moving towards autocracy”.
As Kaladze pointed out, what is important is how the citizens of Georgia feel about the steps taken by the authorities before and after 2012.
“It was a wonder, the “full” hall and statements about what is happening in terms of democracy in Georgia. This is also a clear example, indicating their attitude towards Georgia. There were three men in the hall, I counted,” Kaladze said regarding the session of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
According to him, the reforms are still to be carried out and the Georgian Government will take all the necessary steps.
