The Parliamentary Delegation headed by the Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Maka Botchorishvili participated in the 10th EuroNest PA Plenary Session in Chisinau.
The Assembly included the debates on “Future of Eastern Partnership Policy after the aggressive Russian war against Ukraine. Context of new regional security, challenges and advantages,” within which the Assembly members discussed the EaP future and lingering challenges.
“Russian aggression against Ukraine once again revealed that European security cannot be ensured without peace in the Eastern neighborhood. It’s clear that we need an updated strategic vision of the EaP and certain steps to address the existing challenges,” Botchorishvili stated in her speech.
She dwelt on the EU integration progress of Georgia, the EU decision on granting the European perspective to Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova and the necessity of timely further actions.
