The National Tourism Administration this week published the statistical data for the month of November.
The agency says that in November 2022, 471,165 international travelers visited Georgia, an increase compared to November of the previous year of +160.4%, and compared to the same period of 2019, an increase of 70%.
“Tourist visits increased significantly in November. In November 2022, there were 299,605 international tourist visits, an increase of +97.9% compared to November 2021. Compared to the same period of 2019, 88.4% of international tourist visits were restored”, reads the information.
Regarding the dynamics of tourism recovery in January-November 2022, according to the information of the National Tourism Administration, 4,862,247 international travelers visited Georgia in 11 months of 2022, the increase compared to the period of January-November 2021 is +185.5%. Compared to the same period of 2019, the recovery rate of international travelers’ visits is 55.9%.
“In the period of January-November 2022, there were 3,348,333 international tourist visits, which is +133.7% more compared to 11 months of last year, and compared to the same period of 2019, 70.2% of tourist visits were restored.
The number of international travelers and international tourist visits is calculated according to the methodology developed according to the recommendation of the World Tourism Organization and includes the already made and completed visits,” reads the information.
