Natia Mezvrishvili – “We urge the European Union to grant membership candidate status to Georgia. We urge all political parties in Georgia to join us in this process”.

Today, during the briefing, Natia Mezvrishvili made a statement. Political Party “For Georgia” addresses all political parties in Georgia to urge the EU to grant Georgia membership candidate status.

“We urge the EU to grant Georgia membership candidate status. We address all political parties in Georgia to join us in this process. We should all stand together, as European integration is the guarantee for our independence, sovereignty, and opportunity to build our national State”.

European integration lays the foundation for the free future of Georgia. If we miss this opportunity today, it will distance us from our goal – becoming a full member of the EU with our traditions. Therefore, we urge everyone to join the forces for the interests of our country” – stated Mezvrishvili.

Natia Mezvrishvili also mentioned that despite the very uncooperative response and approach of the ruling party and the Government, the political party “For Georgia” still declares readiness to work together in the support of the European integration process.

“Despite the uncooperative response and approach of the ruling party and the Government, we are ready to work together for the support of the European integration process in the country. We also actively work outside the country with our international partners to support the EU integration process. We urge the government to return EU integration as a key issue in the country’s political agenda and immediately stop all other processes that somehow overshadow this important issue for the country.

We would like to remind the EU that Georgia has paid a big price for EU membership many times and we once again urge EU to grant membership candidate status to Georgia along with Ukraine and Moldova” – said Natia Mezvrishvili.
