Twenty-four entities have been fined in Batumi this year for exceeding noise limits, the Batumi Municipal Inspectorate says.
The Inspectorate stated that it conducts intensive acoustic noise monitoring 24 hours a day during the tourist season.
The monitoring does not apply to construction works carried out during daytime hours (08:00-23:00) or events approved by local authorities.
The Inspectorate said that 94 notifications about excessive noise levels were received this year. Following inspections, 24 entities were fined.
Residents can report violations by calling 598 85 15 20. After receiving a notification, the Municipal Inspection’s operational group will visit the location, measure noise levels with a special device and, if a violation is confirmed, fine the responsible party.
