US Congressman Joe Wilson has criticized the planned attendance of Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili at the funeral of Iran’s former Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.
In a post on X, Wilson wrote: “The world’s worst America-haters are gathering for the funeral of dictator Khamenei. The fake president of Georgian Dream, Mikheil Kavelashvili, plans to attend the ceremony to further deepen the deeply anti-American pact between Iran and Georgian Dream.”
Earlier, Kavelashvili’s administration confirmed reports that the Georgian president will attend Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s funeral in Iran.
