Geostat reports a decline in Georgia’s tourism-related sectors in March, based on its latest economic growth review.
The report shows that while most sectors of the economy recorded growth, a downturn was observed in hotels and restaurants, as well as in administrative and support services.
Overall, economic growth in March stood at 10.7%.
A separate Geostat report shows a decline in tourism revenues, with visitor spending decreasing in the first quarter.
The data show that total spending on visits amounted to GEL 2.2 billion, 5.2% less than in the same period last year. The average cost per visit fell by 5% year-on-year to GEL 1,897.
