“Revive” — TBC Launches a New Environmental Initiative

TBC continues its tradition of marking Earth Day on April 22 with impactful environmental initiatives. This year, the company introduces “Revive,” a new project focused on the collection and recycling of textile waste.

The initiative was developed by TBC’s ESG Ambassadors and aims to address the growing environmental challenge posed by textile waste. Materials discarded into the environment can take decades to decompose, during which time they contaminate soil and water, ultimately affecting human health. Through this project, TBC seeks to reduce textile waste and promote its reuse.

TBC’s ESG Ambassadors are employees actively involved in planning and implementing environmental, social, and governance initiatives. The program has been in place since 2021, reflecting the company’s long-standing commitment to sustainability as a core part of its corporate culture.

As part of the “Revive” project, TBC has partnered with two green enterprises: “Vintilator,” a winner in the green category of the TBC Business Awards, and the social enterprise “7R.” Textile waste collected by TBC employees will be transferred to these partners for processing. Reusable materials will be transformed into unique accessories, which will be distributed among participating employees. Textiles that cannot be repurposed will be processed using specialized technologies that ensure minimal environmental impact.

Through this initiative, textile waste is given a “new life,” re-emerging as colorful and functional accessories.

The first phase of the project is already underway, with dedicated textile collection bins installed across several TBC branches and at the company’s headquarters.

TBC has been systematically developing its waste management system for years. In collaboration with partner organizations, the company has been recycling paper since 2015, plastic since 2023, and batteries and electronic waste since 2025. The launch of “Revive” in 2026 represents another significant step toward reducing textile waste.

Caring for people and the environment remains a fundamental part of TBC’s strategy and culture. Through various ESG and marketing campaigns, the company has implemented a number of innovative environmental projects. Among them is the pioneering initiative in Georgia to recycle advertising banners into functional products. Additionally, in partnership with “Tene,” TBC has supported the creation of eco-friendly accessories made from unused plastic.

“Revive” stands as another strong example of how TBC combines innovation and responsibility to protect the environment and contribute to a more sustainable future.
