The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia has announced two public tenders for the preparation of design and cost documentation for large-scale multi-purpose sports complexes in Rustavi and Zestaponi. Both procurement processes were launched on April 1, with proposal submissions scheduled between April 30 and May 5. The selected contractors will be required to complete the design phase within six months of contract signing.
The larger project is planned in Rustavi where a 1,500-seat multi-functional complex will be developed across a project area of 182,351 square meters.
The tender for design services is valued at GEL 4.74 million while the total estimated construction cost is approximately GEL 60 million. This figure covers building works, materials, equipment and labor, but excludes landscaping and outdoor sports courts.
The complex will include facilities for a wide range of sports, including swimming (standard and children’s pools), judo, wrestling, boxing, tennis, gymnastics, fencing, martial arts and mixed martial arts (MMA).
In Zestaponi, a smaller 500-seat complex is planned, with a design tender valued at GEL 4.77 million and a total project area of 28,755 square meters.
Both projects are intended to meet international standards and will incorporate not only architectural and engineering solutions but also supporting infrastructure such as outdoor courts, parking areas, lighting systems and security features.
