The trial of Nika Melia, the leader of the United National Movement, will be held today at 16:00.
During the trial, the change of the measure of restraint imposed on Melia will be discussed. The leader of the National Movement will not attend the session.
His bail was set at 40,000 GEL, allocated by the European Foundation for Democracy under the auspices of the European Union on May 8.
Nika Melia was arrested on February 23. He is accused of organizing and leading group violence during the anti-occupation protest rally in front of the parliament on June 20-21, 2019.
