The Power of Belief: TBC’s New Manifesto
“The main thing is to believe” — this is TBC’s new brand manifesto and guiding motto. It expresses a simple yet powerful idea: belief in oneself can turn the impossible into reality. With belief, every obstacle becomes surmountable, and every challenge can be transformed into a success story. If you truly believe, there’s nothing you can’t achieve.
This message perfectly encapsulates TBC’s journey of growth over the past 33 years. It reflects the values that have consistently guided the company through every critical stage of its development and continue to shape its path into the future.
TBC’s philosophy is rooted in this principle: what may seem impossible at first often turns out to be achievable. This belief has become the foundation of the team’s confidence and motivation — fueling a new chapter of progress, storytelling, and inspiration through the example of TBC’s own success.
“TBC, as a brand, was born and grew alongside independent Georgia. We’ve gone through many stages of development together. Belief in ourselves and our goals has always been our strongest driving force. On this journey, we transformed challenges into opportunities, expanded, digitized, and reached beyond Georgia’s borders. We believed in what once seemed impossible — and time and again, we’ve proven that with belief, confidence, and determination, together we can achieve the extraordinary. The main thing is to believe,”
— Vakhtang Butskhrikidze, General Director of TBC
“Serval” – Building the Future of Football in Kutaisi with the Support of TBC Business
Football unites players and fans alike, placing everyone on the same field of passion and emotion. As the twelfth player, each supporter feels the highs and lows of the game. But behind every goal, victory, or loss lies rigorous training, discipline, and years of dedication—values instilled from a young age.
This is the spirit of “Serval,” a Kutaisi-based football club founded to guide young talents in turning their love for the game into a professional pursuit.
The story began in 2022 when four former professional footballers—Giorgi Guruli, Temur Khaburdzania, Beka Chkhetiani, and Tamaz Babunashvili—joined forces to launch the club.
“All four of us played professionally, in the top and first leagues,” says Tamaz Babunashvili. “One day, we felt the urge to teach kids—not just how to play football, but to offer them everything we didn’t have growing up. That’s how our idea was born: to pass on our experience, knowledge, and passion.”
In its early days, Serval focused on sharing experience and building a foundation for youth development. But as ambitions grew, so did the need for resources and infrastructure.
“That’s when TBC Business stepped in,” Tamaz explains. “With their support, we were able to purchase 15,000 square meters of land—a critical step in Serval’s growth.”
Today, with licensed coaches and a dedicated training environment, Serval is nurturing the next generation of footballers. Young players are not only learning the skills of the sport but also gaining the discipline and mindset needed to succeed—on and off the field.
Celebrating a Legend: TBC Concept Supports Book and Vinyl Release Honoring Nani Bregvadze
With the support of TBC Concept, a special edition vinyl and a book dedicated to the life and artistry of the legendary Nani Bregvadze have been published.
TBC Concept continues to support initiatives that revive, preserve, and reintroduce Georgia’s rich cultural heritage to a broader audience in innovative and accessible formats.
Nani Bregvadze began her stage career in 1956. Her exceptional vocal timbre, refined taste, distinctive phrasing, and deep sense of musical dramaturgy and dynamics have ensured her lasting resonance across generations. Her artistry continues to inspire young performers today.
She is the artist who elevated Georgian pop songs and romances to the status of classical music—just as Edith Piaf did for French chanson, Ella Fitzgerald for jazz, Barbra Streisand for musicals, Astor Piazzolla for the Argentine tango, and Cesária Évora for Portuguese fado.
The influence of Nani Bregvadze has set a high standard in Georgian vocal music, becoming an inseparable part of the nation’s musical identity. The newly released vinyl features 25 carefully selected tracks spanning her career from 1957 to 2024.
The accompanying book offers an intimate look into Nani’s life and work, combining rare archival materials with personal letters and reflections from prominent figures such as Jansug Kakhidze, Revaz Laghidze, Giorgi Tsabadze, Nikoloz Rachveli, Eldar Shengelaia, Moris Potskhishvili, Cecilia Takaishvili, Chabua Amirejibi, Bella Akhmadulina, and Charles Aznavour.
In Nani’s own words:
“For years now, I’ve been performing my entire repertoire differently. I don’t enjoy studio recordings—they lack the energy that only a live audience can give. The audience inspires me. Even today, I step in front of them with a hint of nervousness. That unique connection creates a special atmosphere. Perhaps that’s why I decided to write this book—to continue my dialogue with the audience in a new way, as I no longer perform in concert as often.”
- Creative Director of the Book: Andro Vekua
- Graphic Designers: Dan Zolbach, Lidka Vale
- Project Author: Gogiko Sakvarelidze

TBC Supports Georgia’s First National AI Olympiad and Student Participation in Global Competition
With the support of TBC and the initiative of the Georgian Association for Artificial Intelligence (GAIA), the first round of the Georgian National AI Olympiad successfully took place. The Olympiad aims to identify and train a national student team that will represent Georgia for the first time at the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) in 2025.
Held on April 27, the first round brought together around 100 students from grades IX–XII across Georgia. The top 30 participants will move on to the final round, scheduled for the end of May. Based on those results, a four-member national team will be selected to compete in the IOAI in Beijing, taking place from August 2–9.
The IOAI, launched in 2024, is a prestigious global competition that unites high school students with an interest in artificial intelligence and data science. With participants from over 60 countries, it has quickly become a cornerstone of the World Student Olympiads ecosystem.
The Georgian National AI Olympiad plays a crucial role in advancing the country’s AI and tech landscape, helping to integrate Georgia into the global innovation community. It provides young participants with valuable experience, practical knowledge, and connections with industry leaders. As part of their preparation, students have access to the Olympiad training course developed by GAIA with the support of TBC.
TBC is the primary supporter of the Olympiad training course, the national selection process, and Georgia’s participation in the IOAI. In collaboration with GAIA, data science professionals from TBC serve as mentors, offering guidance and expertise to help students prepare for international competition.
This initiative is also supported by the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency.
TBC and ADB Launch First-of-Its-Kind Co-Financing Initiative for Georgia and Uzbekistan
On May 5, in Milan, during the 58th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), TBC, TBC Capital, and ADB signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement establishes a framework for strategic cooperation, focusing on identifying and executing co-financing opportunities in Georgia and Uzbekistan.
This framework represents the first co-financing agreement of its kind initiated by ADB. Georgia and Uzbekistan will serve as pilot countries, with plans to expand the model to other regions following its successful implementation. The MoU aims to improve access to finance and deepen collaboration between ADB and TBC.
Between 2025 and 2028, ADB plans to allocate up to USD 150 million to finance key strategic projects. An additional USD 150 million is expected to be mobilized with the support of TBC and TBC Capital, through direct lending and bond issuance.
Under this agreement, TBC will offer its corporate clients improved access to financing. TBC will be responsible for the pre-selection and processing of eligible projects, significantly streamlining the lending process. Lowering the minimum loan threshold will also enable a broader range of companies to benefit from ADB funding.
TBC Capital—Georgia’s leading investment banking, brokerage, and research firm—will play a key role in developing domestic and regional capital markets. It will facilitate ADB’s entry into the bond market as an investor, thereby providing issuers with more efficient access to financing from international financial institutions.
The partnership is designed to support both small-scale and large-scale strategic initiatives. With TBC Capital’s support, more issuers will gain the opportunity to collaborate with ADB and issue bonds, enhancing market liquidity and expanding alternative financing sources.
ADB and TBC are committed to funding projects with strong environmental, climate, and social impacts. Priority sectors currently under consideration include renewable energy, transport, logistics, and manufacturing.
TBC Agribusiness Success Story: How Juno Chiburdanidze Turned a Family Tradition into a Thriving Sheep Farm
For over 40 years, Juno Chiburdanidze’s days have started before sunrise—especially in summer, when he’s up by 5 a.m. First come the lambs, needing careful feeding; then the adult sheep are taken to pasture before the heat sets in. By midday, the flock rests—grazing stops in the sun.
Sheep farming runs deep in Juno’s family. After completing his studies, he returned to Akhalsopeli to continue the family trade. The turning point came 15 years ago when, with the help of a TBC agrocredit, the Chiburdanidzes expanded—building a modern farm, hiring shepherds, and growing their flock to 3,000 Tushuri sheep.
“Farming doesn’t forgive laziness or poor planning,” says Juno. “TBC not only helped us grow but also allowed us to employ at least ten people.”
Despite Georgia’s ancient sheep-breeding heritage—echoed even in the legend of the Golden Fleece—lamb meat is still far from being a local staple. Juno sells up to 1,500 sheep annually, mainly to buyers from the Gulf region and Iran.
“We sell 4-5 month old rams. They feed on mountain pasture year-round, which makes their meat highly valued,” he explains.
But challenges remain. With no infrastructure to process wool, much of it is discarded—despite wool being a sustainable material globally used for clothing, insulation, and packaging.
Lamb’s low popularity in Georgia is also linked to its distinctive smell. According to Juno, proper care and pasture rotation prevent this issue.
In summer, the flock moves to rented fields in Ninotsminda, near the Turkish border. The journey is tough on young lambs, so many are transported by car. Juno’s deep knowledge is evident:
“I just look at a sheep and know what’s wrong.”
Globally, lamb is the 4th most consumed meat. Countries like Australia and New Zealand earn billions from sheep exports and invest in advanced tech, including GPS tracking and health monitoring.
At Chiburdanidze’s farm, everything is still managed by eye and experience—but with TBC’s support, even digital sheep profiles might not be far off.
