22 people arrested during the rally on Rustaveli on December 3

The Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested 22 people during the rally on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi on December 3.

The MIA says all of them are arrested for administrative violations. Those detained and injured report about the use of excessive force by the police and cases of brutal beating and humiliating of the protesters.

For the record, the Government of Georgia has decided not to put the issue of opening negotiations with the European Union on the agenda until the end of 2028 – also, until the end of 2028, it refuses any budget grant from the European Union. This decision of the government was followed by protests in Georgia. Since November 28, protests have been held in Tbilisi and the regions.
