Law enforcement officers have detained 16 individuals for administrative offenses during a protest on Rustaveli Avenue, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
The ministry says officers were deployed to maintain public order and repeatedly urged demonstrators not to obstruct traffic. Despite these warnings, some participants continued attempting to gather on the roadway, prompting the arrests under Georgia’s Administrative Offenses Code.
The ministry called on protesters to express their views within legal limits and warned that authorities will respond appropriately to any further violations.
