Tbilisi Mayor, Kakha Kaladze announced that from June 15, the ropeway connecting Bagebi and University Street will be integrated into the integrated payment system.
“The ropeway connecting Bagebi and University streets has been stopped for so long, but after rehabilitation, it began serving the population of Tbilisi on April 20. We made it free for students.
Today, we decided to set the cost of travel for other passengers at 50 tetri and to include the ropeway in the integrated payment system from June 15.
This means that a person traveling by subway, bus, or minibus will have the opportunity to use this ropeway for 90 minutes for free. A lot of people use it, and I think it is a very good and important decision,” said Kaladze.
