President Salome Zurabishvili stressed the importance of obeying constitutional deadlines for nominating the Prime Minister and the Cabinet of Ministers. In her speech, she addressed the challenges of democracy, saying that ‘nothing is easy in democracy’.
Zurabisvhili also stated that she takes the views of opposition parties to make a proper nomination before the elections. ‘Democracy requires us to consider one another’, the President said, emphasizing the importance for cooperation between parties. She also hinted that discussions will occur and her nomination will be presented accordingly.
Zurabishvili also mentioned the hardship executing democratic practices, declaring while it is easier for a single party to be in charge, pluralistic approach is better for the society overall.
