In the framework of ‘Contribution to the Elimination of Domestic and Gender-Based Violence in Georgia,’ designed by GCRT and funded by the EU, a collaborative exhibition featuring women photographers and visual artists will open on October 6 at 19:00 at the Tbilisi Photography and Multimedia Museum. The information was shared on social media platforms by GrlzWave, which is also an organizer and supporter of the event.
The theme of the exhibition addresses sensitive issues like gender-based violence against women and girls, pointing out creative solutions to such challenges. The competition selected three photo and three video pieces by the following artists: Tatia Tsertsvadze, Gvantsa Bliadze, Tibatve, Manana Qveliashvili, Mari Babaevi, and Mariam Mzesu Giunashvili. This open-to-all contest aimed at discovering new voices that bring attention to the often silenced stories and harsh realities experienced by women and girls.
The event will conclude with a discussion with the artists at 20:00.
