The 13th Tbilisi Marathon took place yesterday in the capital of Georgia, starting at Republic Square. There were five different categories to compete in: the half-marathon, the 10-kilometer race for both men and women and a children’s race.
The half-marathon was particularly memorable, as the Ukrainian couple, Bodgar Semyonovych and Natalya Semyonovych, secured first place in the men’s and women’s races, respectively.
The Tbilisi Marathon occurs annually and is supported by the joint efforts of the Georgian government and the Embassy of Greece. This year, 3,000 people participated, and the money received from registration fees was donated to a beneficiary chosen by the organizing company.
