The British Embassy Tbilisi hosted a reception honoring Georgian scholars who recently completed their studies in the United Kingdom under the Chevening Scholarship. The event, hosted by Gareth Ward, celebrated participants of the 2024/25 Chevening cohort, congratulating them on successfully completing their academic programs in the UK and returning to Georgia.
The reception brought together newly returned Chevening alumni and invited guests, providing an opportunity for networking and discussion about the scholars’ academic experiences and future contributions in Georgia.
During the event, the Embassy expressed special appreciation to Bank of Georgia, which has served as a long-standing partner and supporter of the Chevening program.
The Chevening Scholarship, funded by the UK government, supports international students pursuing postgraduate degrees at universities across the United Kingdom and helps leadership, professional development, and global networks.
The Embassy also welcomed two winners of the project “Enhancing Workplace Skills of Georgian Students through the Employers’ Challenge Programme,” organized within the framework of the Chevening Chevening Alumni Programme Fund (CAPF).
As part of their visit, the students had the opportunity to learn about the work of the British Embassy, meet Ambassador Gareth Ward, and gain insights into the Embassy’s diplomatic and development activities.
