Preparations for Tbilisi’s New Year celebrations are in progress as city crews begin installing festive illuminations across the capital. Tbilisi City Hall reported that ongoing installation works will require temporary traffic restrictions on a section of Merab Kostava Street during the night of November 13.
Vehicular movement will be restricted from midnight until 6:00 a.m. on the stretch of Kostava Street between numbers 27 and 59, running from the Tbilisi State Concert Hall toward Heroes’ Square. The restriction is being implemented to ensure the safe and efficient completion of installation works.
During the closure, drivers traveling from Rustaveli Avenue will be able to use alternative routes through Kiacheli and Akhvlediani streets. Meanwhile, vehicles entering from Nikoloz Nikoladze Street will be directed left toward Rustaveli Avenue and Chovelidze Street.
