Tornike Rizhvadze, the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, said at the government meeting this week that they have a 25% increase in tourist flows in Adjara compared to last year.
“Compared to last year, we have a 25% increase in tourist flows in Adjara. More than 4 million visits have been made to the region and the tourist flow has increased four times in the last 11 years.
“The income from tourism is sustainable, allowing us to plan the budget with all efforts aimed at creating new tourist infrastructure and tourist locations,” he said
“We also have a significant 20% increase in tourist flows in mountainous Adjara. As such, with the right marketing efforts, we will be able to turn Adjara into an attractive tourist four-season destination,” he noted.
