The annual meeting of the World Wine Trade Group (WWTG), chaired by Georgia in 2023, was held in Tbilisi.
The National Wine Agency announced that the two-day meeting focused on trade barriers, international trade opportunities and the search for more export markets for Georgian wine.
Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Otar Shamugia opened the meeting. Within the frame of the event, the meeting participants visited wine companies in the Shida Karli region.
Georgia was handed over WWTG chairmanship for 1-year term from the US at the annual meeting in Brussels last year.
WWTG members are Georgia, the US, Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, New Zealand, South Africa, and Uruguay.
