The “Tbilisi Financial Summit” officially opened its doors at the Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theater, bringing together global financial leaders, innovators, and policymakers to discuss the future of financial technologies and regional economic development.
The opening ceremony featured speeches from Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, and National Bank President Natia Turnava.
“This large-scale event is part of the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, jointly organized by the National Bank, the Ministry of Economy, and Singapore’s Global Financial and Technological Network (GFTN),” the organizers said.
The summit focuses on the development of the region’s innovative infrastructure, financial technologies, and the Middle Corridor as a key hub for global trade and digital finance. Participants include central bank heads, financial sector leaders, corporate representatives, and industry experts, all engaging in discussions on regional development, international cooperation, and the latest financial innovations.
Panel discussions feature prominent fintech leaders, including Mazurka Dzengi, Executive Director of Bybit EU; Leiming Cheng, Vice President of Ant International; Derek Eiseli, Founder of Eisele Capital; Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder of Paytm; David Gurle, Founder of Hivenet and Policloud; Anu Fancy, Senior Officer at Coinbase; Marco Dal Lago, Vice President of Tether; and Rashit Parekh, Partner at Accel, among others.
Ahead of the main event, on October 22, preliminary panels were held at the Telegraph Hotel, providing attendees with an opportunity to explore emerging financial technologies and strategies for regional integration.
