This year, the 10th anniversary of the only Baroque music festival in the South Caucasus is to commence with a concert dedicated to Venetian Baroque.
Supported by the Italian Embassy, the Shota Rustaveli State Drama Theater will facilitate the tribute to the masterpieces by great Baroque composers, including Vivaldi, Tartini, Galuppi, Marcello, and Platti, performed by the prominent Italian cellist Davide Amadio.
The opening ceremony will take place on November 1, at 19:30, while, on November 21, the Jansug Kakhidze Music and Cultural center will host a concert ‘Georgian and European Sacred Music’, with Italian opera singers Cristina Fanelli (soprano) and Bendetta Mazzucato (contralto) performing works by Bach and Zelenka.
