A strong earthquake occurred in Georgia this evening. The earthquake was reported approximately at 19:35 Tbilisi time.
The European Seismological Center reports that the epicenter of the earthquake was in the territory of neighboring Armenia.
The National Seismic Monitoring Center does not have detailed information at this stage.
“It was a regional earthquake. We will process the data and disseminate the updated information,” says the National Seismic Monitoring Center. However, based on initial information, the epicenter was near the Azerbaijani-Armenian border.
There are no reports of any damage or injuries.
