The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, stated that 300 oncological patients, children, will be fully funded by the state for treatment
“Georgia has around 300 children diagnosed with cancer, who are sponsored and treated by our state, with GEL 10 million allocated to them each year. But not all conditions exist in Georgia today to deliver comprehensive and high-quality, high-standard services. In very many cases, we must send those children abroad for treatment,” said the Prime Minister.
He noted that with the decision of the Government, 300 pediatric oncology patients will be fully financed by the state.
“We have selected the best clinics in the world where these children will be sent and treated,” said the Prime Minister.
Garibashvili explained that about 30 million GEL has been allocated for the program.
