Chairman of Parliament Shalva Papuashvili has left for Brussels on a working visit to the NATO Headquarters, where he will take part in the NATO-Georgia Commission (NGC) meeting scheduled for today, January 26.
The Speaker of the Parliament will deliver a speech at the sitting of the NATO-Georgia Commission.
During the visit, a meeting will be held with the Deputy Secretary-General of the Alliance.
Based on Irakli Beraia, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Defense and Security of Georgia, the first official visit of the Speaker of the Parliament to the Alliance’s headquarters has a symbolic and substantive meaning, which confirms the importance and priority of NATO integration.
Apart from the Speaker, the delegation is composed of Irakli Beraia, Chairman of the Defense and Security Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, and Lasha Darsalia, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
