The Russian government has modified the list of exemptions to its temporary ban on the export of gasoline and diesel fuel from the country. According to the updated regulation, the export of fuel will also be restricted in occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali. The revised document has been published on Russia’s official legal acts website.
In the document, which was signed by Prime Minister Mishustin, it is evident that “Abkhazia and South Ossetia” are no longer included in the list of countries exempt from the ban.
On September 21, the Russian government imposed a ban on the export of motor gasoline and diesel fuel, including to Georgia. The original decree included several exceptions, with the ban not applying to the de facto republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
