Russian forces carried out a drone attack on two hospitals in Ukraine’s northern Sumy region, according to reports by Ukrainian prosecutors.
A drone struck a hospital with 147 patients and 22 staff members inside, in the city of Sumy, hours after a telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump, after which Putin rejected the calls for a full and immediate ceasefire in Ukraine.
The attacks have naturally drawn severe condemnations, with officials accusing Russia of intentionally targeting medical facilities during such heated times.
