Rights Georgia has issued a statement stating that the organization condemns the facts of gross interference with the right to privacy.
“Rights Georgia responds to the statement made by a former employee of the State Security Service on Mtavari TV about the existence of secret recordings of politicians, including Ana Dolidze, regarding their personal lives.
Rights Georgia joins the statement of the Women’s Movement and calls on the Investigative Agency to take timely, effective, and effective steps to investigate the allegations, including to find out who ordered the illegal extraction, processing, and storage of personal data,” the statement reads.
It is noted in the statement that Georgian society has witnessed numerous cases of illegal disclosure of personal life footage. The organization finds it alarming that the target of such actions has often been the activities of female politicians.
