Following Eastern Ukraine’s bogus referendums claiming to be in favor of joining Russia, the signing ceremony is expected to be held on September 30, reported RIA Novosti, Russian news agency.
President Vladimir Putin will host a signing ceremony tomorrow to annex four territories of Ukraine into Russia, said the Kremlin’s spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov.
The signing of “agreements on the accession of new territories into the Russian Federation” will take place at a ceremony on Friday at 3 p.m. Moscow time, Peskov stated.
About 15% of Ukraine would become de facto part of Russia, and there will be 4 million people living there. The west has criticized the feigned referendums in the Ukrainian regions that are under occupation as being unlawful and invalid.
“State Duma deputies received an invitation to the Kremlin for an event on 30 September with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, ” claims the RIA Novosti news agency.
There has been much conjecture about when Putin will publicly address the alleged outcomes of the “referendums” held by Russian proxy authorities in occupied regions of Ukraine.
