On February 2, a public event dedicated to World Book Reading Day is to be held in Pushkin Square. The event will be organized by Tbilisi – the World Book Capital, and the Goethe Institute in Georgia, from 14:00 to 16:00.
Anyone can participate in the event, for which a book will be chosen at random from the shelf in the square, and after reading a short section in public, the book will be given as a gift. Books of different genres of different publishing houses will be placed on the shelf – both Georgian authors and translations.
“Tbilisi – World Book Capital” is a UNESCO project.
